Today is October 19th, the Breast Cancer Awareness day in many countries. Perhaps you're thinking "Why just breast cancer? There are a lot of types of cancer". Of course I know there are a lot of types of cancer; I've lived some of them very closely: skin cancer, cervical cancer and renal cell carcinoma. But breast cancer is specially mortal because many women don't check their health periodically and that kills them. In my country (Mexico) twelve women die everyday due the breast cancer.
There are a lot of risk factors to develop breast cancer. Some of they are:
Being older than 40 years old
Having familiar antecedents. If your mom, aunt, grandma, sister, cousin or other of your relatives have had breast cancer, you have more posibilities to get it, too.
Being overweight
Smoking
Hormonal issues
How can you try to detect this type of cancer?
Do the self-exploration of your breasts after turing 20.
After being 40, do the mammography every two years; after being 50, do it every year.
Make exercise and eat balanced way.
Don't wait! If you see or feel something weird or uncommon, make an appointment to your gynecologits.
I know dA is full of young girls who probably are thinking "I'm too young to think about it"; don't be so confident; nowadays there are many young women (younger than 30) that have got breast cancer. So don't be neglected and take care yourself since now.
If you have doubts about this and other types of cancer, I strongly suggest you ask to a specialist (an oncologist or a gynecologist). You may check websites, but make sure to check serious websites (no just Wikipedia or places like that).
And now, the Pink Feature:

I feel officially out of dA
Hi, I'm EriSama! Perhaps you remember me from past times, where I was an actually active member of deviantArt; yes, good times.
I've had a super random year, being a little depressed, but fine and busy most of the time. I finally got a new and great job last September; I feel useful and I'm learning a lot.
Probably you have noticed it; I've let dying my dA profile, and there's a reason of that: I've felt aparted of dA since the start of the year.
During the year, I've seen how this place became from a true artists' social network to a elitist hipster business website; of course, I understand that dA's owners need something to live, but at
(More than) 100,000 pageviews!!
OMG!! I just realized I hit more than 100,000 pageviews in my dA profile!! I can't believe it!
I'm very, very excited!
Thank you very much to all of you, because those 100,000 pageviews couldn't exist without your support and care. I feel really thankful <3
I love you!
Erika <3
Happy Woman's day + A needed update
Hi!
First at all, Happy Woman's Day to all my female friends! I hope you have a beautiful day... also, a happy day to guys, too <3
And now, an update:
I haven't got a job yet and I'm still looking for, and I won't lose the hope to get it soon. However, I'm preparing a business idea that I'll start soon, too; due that, and due my MBA, my time in dA is being reduced recently :c
Also, my subscription is about to end in April and I can't renew, so this month is the last (for now) with PM and I'm a little sad for that .-.
Well, I guess that's all. And you, how are you?
I love you, guys <3
Happy New Year, my dear friends
2013... what a contrasting year. This year has its (really) awesome moments and its (truly) awful moments, but that's why the year is like a book, full of twist and changes.
I hope you have had a wonderful 2013 and I really hope you have a more wonderful 2014, full of health, wealth, happiness and things you like <3
I love you!

There is just one thing missing from this? Where are men who get breast cancer mentioned anywhere in here? I know this a little late, but I just came across this, and I feel a strong need to express this. Also if you intend on giving me that line that men don't get as often please don't. Even though men don't get it as often as women do they still get it, and it can be just as devastating for them.
